Herd and Grow Community Interest Company are excited to announce our 2nd annual open day on Saturday 13th October 2018 at 11 am till 3 pm.

All money raised on the day this year will go towards funding a new field classroom which will aid in the delivery of our sessions for children with additional needs.

Lots of Family fun to be had by all with some new animal additions to last year. Come along and meet Barnie and Pippin the Shetland Ponies and some very cute Baby Piglets!!

Herd and Grow Home ED Workshop

Activities include:

Interacting with our Goats Ted and Bo Bo, Pigs Hugo, Pocket and Anteater. Our Sheep Marley and Maisey and our Lambs Nala and Dafney along with a selection of Bantam Chickens and some gorgeous coloured baby chicks. We will promote a safe hands on approach where students will learn about caring for the animals and how to meet there daily requirements.

Crafting workshops where we will use an array of items gathered from nature and incorporate them with painting, willow weaving, paper making and much more.

Lets get messy programme is where we can enjoy the great outdoors and learn how nature takes it's course, from digging, sowing, planting and harvesting your very own fresh vegetables, then taking these fresh ingredients and turning them in to a yummy meal.

The sessions will be catered for all ages and similar age groups will be placed together where possible in order to deliver a designated learning approach.

Booking is essential.


The sessions run for 2 hours between 10 am - 12 pm and 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm for a fee of £12.00 for ages 4 years and up, accompanying siblings aged 3 years and under are free. complimentary refreshments available. 

Block sessions can also be booked for a fee of £40 for 4 consecutive sessions at a time.
